This publication has been developed within the scope of the research project “History of Architecture Criticism” of the Graduate Program in Architecture at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (PROARQ-UFRJ), cluster “Heritage, theory and architecture criticism,” and in the research line “Theory and teaching of architecture”. It is the result of the joint efforts of four research professors, Priscilla Alves Peixoto, Guilherme Bueno, Rute Figueiredo, and Daniela Ortiz dos Santos, based respectively at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, the Federal University of Minas Gerais, the Escola Superior Artística do Porto, and the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.

It was funded by Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ), the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, and the Johanna Quandt Young Academy (JQYA) at Goethe University Frankfurt.
