Transatlantic Translations, Displacement and Modernisms: The Making of Latin American In Its Architecture

In the 2nd Iberian American Urban History Congress 2019, Daniela Ortiz dos Santos will hold a presentation on Architecture, Displacement and the Transatlantic World, with a focus on the idea of Latin American Architecture and Urban Historiography.

The congress attempts to discuss historical narratives, as well as the transmissions and translation processes that explain the Iberian American cities.

Co-participants of the panel are: Margareth da Silva Pereira (prourb-UFRJ, Brazil), Laurent Coudroy de Lille (Ecole d’urbanisme de Paris, FRANCE), Daniel Carrasco (Univ. de Magallanes, CHILE), Sarah Feldman (USP-Brazil), Katharina Schembs (Universität zu Köln, GERMANY) Jose Pessoa (UFF, Brazil), Jose Espinoza (UFBA, BRAZIL), Priscilla Alves Peixoto (FAU-UFRJ, Brazil) and Raquel Jordan (UNICAMP, Brazil).
